Realme X7 Max 5G Review | Display, Camera, Gaming, Battery!

 so the realme x7 max might be known for being the first smartphone in the indian market to come with the demand city 1200 processor but it’s actually much more than that ,this is chief in focus mode Einstein today we’re going to see fully about the realmax 7 max after about 10 days of its usage so its some of the color variants of the realmix on max and it interestingly has a new design language with the matte plus glossy combination on the back panel it’s a polycarbonate back let’s start with that itself let’s start with the design here it’s a polycarbonate back polycarbonate frame and nothing on the metallic or the glass side which i usually am happy with because this is something that doesn’t give you that extra burden in the mind that you have to actually protect the back of the phone so it ,it might pull in some scratches in the glossy area but that should be ok because you still usually use a case on most of the smartphones that you use most of the users do that and here uh in the physical aspect itself there’s a headphone jack which is something that we have been seeing removed from most of the flagships but this flagship at least has the headphone jack so that’s present here dual dolby atmos speakers so it’s a stereo combination stereo speaker combination given on the smartphone and now if we talk about the display here the display on this smartphone is a super a moled display with 120 hertz refresh rate and 360 Hertzog touch sampling rate uh and the production of the screen is with that dragon tail uh dragon trail glass it’s the agc dragon trail protection and not the gorilla glass and sometimes it might hurt the brand in terms of the brand image that it’s not a good in the glass but in there what the dragon trail glass does is almost close to what we see with the gorilla glass 5that’s what the at least test results say so that is what you might have to expect here although the company is giving you a screen protector pre-installed on the device now in terms of the performance that’s what the majority part of this entire review should be it’s demand city 1200 the first smartphone with this chipset this particular chipset and obviously poco is coming up with a smartphone with the same chipset in the coming months in the third quarter of this year but that should take a while so before that the x7 max is going to be one of those chipsets with the 3.0 gigahertz clock speed for its primary core then there are three more cores at two point three gigahertz four quads are 2.0 so the minimum clock speed that you’re going to see is at 2.0 that’s for the cortex a55coresthis octa-core chipset is actually quite strong for the usage that we have done with the realme ui 2.0 this comes with the android 11based ui 2.0 and that’s where the performance has been super smooth with the 120 hertz refreshrate so the interface has been very smooth actually butter is smooth as is what we can say and the ui 2.0 has its own set of a lot of features that users might take advantage of some of them might not even use them but it’s not going to push you always to use those features those are all hidden pretty well in the settings so you can easily find them or you can choose to ignore them as well and a part from that now we’re talking about the performance they support for lpddr4xram and also ufs 3.1 storage so those are coming on board as well but the gaming is where this phone might be usually recommended or talked about and if we talk about one major game that has-been the i mean talk for the last couple of years that’s pubg mobile publishing mobile we played on pubg on this for at least about12 to 16 hours and what i found is you don’t get the maximum graphic outputs here I mean you don’t see hdr and 60 fps combination you don’t see smooth and 90fps combination so far and that might not even come officially you’ll have to obviously change the configurations and you’ll have to use some tools to actually get the best of the graphics but with what is available that smooth and extreme it actually is going to be super smooth and i usually test them out on livestreams  if we do sanhok boot camp test that is  when the best performance judgement is done and that’s where we felt that the x7 max did not show a lot of frame drops and it was holding up pretty well but remember this is not after months of usage this is initial usage and you might have multiple apps running in the background you’ll have multiple processors running in the background that might change the performance quite a bit after a certain amount of time but in the initial impressions i am very impressed with the dimensional 1200 on the smartphone it has performed really well and remember the 1200also is a six nanometer chipset so it actually is going to be very power efficient but i haven’t actually used it uh with dual sims together so i’m not really talking about the battery life in particular here but we expect it to be good enough with the six nanometer chipset so let’s see how it goes with dual Sims and everything in the coming entire days but the 5g support is given here 5g dual sim dual standby a 5g carrier regulation and also wi-fi 6connectivity-wise this is going to be super good but you can’t really take advantage of that right now unless there’s 5g coming in very soon you don’t even expect 5g in a couple of years to be rolled out pretty well but if you’re considering a smartphone a flagship for about three to four years of usage you can then have to look you’ll have to actually look for a 5g smartphone because obviously you can’t keep switching to on your newer phone all the time so having 5g is going to be advantage in case you see 5g rolling out in the next two or two three two to three years because this smartphone can easily last about three to four years with the given power in itself now for the battery this has a 4500mahbattery we are obviously going to do separate uh speed charging test and also the battery life drain rest but that will be separate for a 4500mah battery this did last for a day very easily and more than that actually for a moderate usage but for heavy users it can easily last a day and the fast charging support here is for 50watt but  for the gaming one part that i missed was with the stainless steel cooling and that is what the company says is going to do the thermal management well because it is going to cover entire 100of the heat sources there and the cooling performance is about50 i mean usually if you see any other graphite sheets or anything cooling down the phone by two to three degrees this is going to do that by three to four degrees so its going to cool down the device better than the other cooling solutions so it’s stainless steel vapor cooling in the end the process of cooling is going to be similar to how you see the other vapor calling options but this is going to actually cover up more area so let’s hope it does well but I’m not going to really comment about it right now because the way we test our devices is by connecting it to laptops usually users don’t do that if you’re playing games you don’t really connect it to laptop most of the time you play it with your headphones connected and the good thing is for gamers it has a headphone jack so you don’t have to always use the type c port you’ll have to use the regular headphone jack and you can charge the phone at the same time incase you see the battery training and you want to actually play the game continuously at that time now the comfort levels of this i did forget about that during the design part it’s 179 grams it’s pretty light are freshing change after we saw a couple of phones i mean i personally use the poco x3 pro before this and huge change from there to here a big shift because that was over 200 grams and it was pretty heavy and large this one is quite sleek it’s quite slim and also pretty light in the hand and that is one of the major things you see in flagships in flagships you don’t see heavy devices and that’s what you see here as well so the xmax is not that heavy or thick and apart from that you also don’t see mhl support that’s one thing i asked the brand about because for gamers mhl is for the uhhdmi out for the elgato support so there’s no auto support so you have to remember that in case you’re a gamer and you’re thinking you’ll have to get you want to capture the game and record it or stream from it from your laptop that is not possible but you can still mirror the screen and do your streaming or recording of the games if you want to do that otherwise really ui has one good thing you can record your in-game audio plus your microphone audio from the real mayor itself with the screen recorder which is not possible on most of your android os or the customized roms as well but on this one it is pretty much available so that’s another advantage of the real me ui here at least and now with an overall view here one part that some of might usually not talk about if you’re seeing a lot about the performance is the cameras but the cameras here are pretty good except for one thing that i didn’t really uh feel that it was impressive that was the low light performance this comes with the imx 68 264 megapixel camera does a pretty good job with the regular captures with hdrs whenever there is proper light available but with lowlight conditions we saw a lot of noise i mean it tried to take a lot of details in there but it was accompanied by a lot of nice and we feel that this could be fixed in the future software updates for now you can’t call it a pretty great night performer so in lowlight conditions it does not do well but we feel that this is something that can be fixed by software updates so that’s ok now the other two cameras include here the 8 megapixel wide angle camera and also the 2 megapixel macro camera so this is a triple camera combination on the front you have a 16 megapixel selfie camera for selfies and that is with the punch hole camera given on the side of the phone top corner side of the phone so that’s it this way the major aspects the camera performance is not bad you have 4k at 60 fps you have960 fps slow motion recording as well that is all a job well done but with the low light performance I feel it could get better with time let’s see and hope that it does otherwise for performance yes this is one of killer performing smartphones and obviously you tend to get surprised seeing that this is a mediatek chipset and usually people have that sense in the mind that QUALCOMM snapdragon chipsets are usually superior in performance when compared to the mediatek ones but this flagship mediatek demonstrator 1200 is actually a very good performer and that’s what we saw in case charging 120 hertz super a mole display and also ipx4 rated uh sweat proofing kind of protection on the device and thankfully I’m always thankful about this fact that it doesn’t have a glass back it’s
